Microsoft 365 Business Premium

Your work travels.
Keep it protected.

Business email on a phone. Customer files on a laptop. Staff working from different places. Make the rules around that work clear.

Business Premium brings extra security and device management to Microsoft 365. hostme.ie helps you choose the right licences, configure the controls and keep them maintained.

A clear price for each part

Microsoft licences, setup and ongoing support are separate. You can discuss a Microsoft 365 project without taking a managed IT agreement.

All prices exclude VAT. The quote confirms your licence choice, commitment term and work scope before anything changes.

Ongoing managed IT — StandardRoutine support, monitoring, licence administration and a maintained security baseline
€85 / user / month
Minimum five managed users

Standard managed IT has a five-user billing minimum (€425/month), a 12-month initial term and fair use. Microsoft licences and onboarding are extra. “Standard” here names the hostme.ie support level, not Microsoft 365 Business Standard.

Managed onboarding starts with a €400 assessment, credited against the onboarding project. If you proceed to managed service and no chargeable setup work is needed, the credit goes against the first month instead. Setup is separately quoted. Hourly work has a 30-minute minimum, then 15-minute increments.

Four everyday questions worth answering

Who can sign in?

Entra ID P1 adds Conditional Access: rules for who can access work services and under which conditions. Multi-factor authentication is also available on Business Standard; Premium adds more control over how access rules are applied.

Which devices hold work data?

Intune Plan 1 helps manage supported devices and work apps. Enrolment, ownership and platform matter. A lost phone needs a planned response, not a promise that every device can be erased instantly.

What happens to suspicious email?

Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 adds email and collaboration protection. Defender for Business covers supported endpoints. They do different jobs, and both need appropriate setup.

Who can share sensitive files?

Selected Purview features support manual sensitivity labels, encryption and data loss prevention for Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive. The policy scope needs to match your work; advanced features can require extra licences.

A licence makes controls available. Configuration, staff guidance and ongoing review put them to work. No service can make a business immune to attack.

Start with what you already have

Business Standard may still fit if suitable security and device management are already in place elsewhere. Premium is worth considering when you need these controls together and have someone responsible for maintaining them.

Before replacing a tool, check its role, contract and recovery requirements. Premium does not include a separate Microsoft 365 backup service or guarantee that every existing security tool can be removed.

How hostme.ie approaches the work

  1. Understand the setup. Identify people, licences, devices and the problem you want solved.
  2. Agree scope and cost. Confirm configuration work, licence terms and any support agreement.
  3. Introduce the controls carefully. Pilot changes, check staff access and document the setup.
  4. Keep ownership clear. Agree who reviews devices, policies, alerts and recovery arrangements.

Before you decide

Does Premium include the paid Copilot experience?

The paid work-grounded Copilot experience requires a separate eligible add-on. Copilot Chat availability is different. Confirm the exact features and licences you need; Business Standard is also an eligible base plan for paid Copilot.

Will upgrading fix file permissions for AI?

No. Copilot follows the permissions a user already has. If files are shared too broadly, buying Premium does not correct that automatically. Permissions, labels and working practices still need review.

Are all compliance features included?

No. Risk-based Conditional Access needs Entra ID P2. Advanced automatic labelling and information barriers require additional licensing. Business Premium supports a useful baseline, but a subscription does not certify GDPR compliance.

Can a lost device always be wiped?

Available actions depend on the platform, enrolment, ownership and connectivity. Removing work data from a supported app is different from resetting a whole device. The approach is agreed during setup.

Does it include Teams?

Microsoft offers variants with and without Teams. The quote identifies the plan, any additional licences and the subscription term.
