hostme.ie YOUR IT DEPARTMENT
Who I help

IT for a small team.

Two ways to work with me, and I’ll tell you honestly which one you’re ready for. Most businesses under ten people are better off with the first.

Two doors Neither one is the consolation prize
Door one

Pay as you go

  • No contract and nothing to cancel
  • You message me, I bill the time it takes
  • Every invoice itemised, so you can see where it went
  • Hosting, email and backup still bought as products

€110 / hour

Remote. On site within 40 km by road of Tuam is €130/hr. Minimum half an hour, then quarter hours. Ex VAT.

Door two

A managed agreement

  • Day-to-day support with no hour cap
  • Monitoring, patching and licence admin, running quietly
  • Response times you can hold me to — below
  • Advanced adds direct access and a one-hour P1, at €110/user

From €85 / user / month

Minimum 10 users or €1,000/month, whichever is greater. 12-month initial term, then 30 days’ notice. Ex VAT.

See if you’re ready

Under ten people? Then a managed agreement isn’t for you yet, and I’d rather say that here than in a meeting. Take door one. When you get to ten, the conversation is worth having — and I’ll be the one to raise it.

On a managed agreement

What I commit to, in writing.

These are commitments, not averages. They hold on the bad days, which is the only day a commitment matters.

Priority What it means Standard Advanced
P1 — Critical Total loss of service. The business cannot operate. 4 business hours 1 business hour
P2 — High A major function is degraded, with significant impact. 8 business hours 4 business hours
P3 — Medium Partial degradation. There is a workaround. Next business day Next business day
P4 — Low Minor, cosmetic, or a routine request. 3 business days Next business day

Response means time to a first meaningful response, not a fix. All of it inside service hours — Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, excluding Irish public holidays.

Outside those hours I’ll often still pick up — but that’s goodwill, not a commitment, and it isn’t something to plan around.

How a managed agreement starts
With an assessment, not a signature.
€400
The onboarding assessment — what you actually have, what’s missing, what it would take. Credited in full against the onboarding project if you go ahead.
Quoted
The onboarding project itself, priced from the assessment. Done and invoiced before the monthly fee starts.
Monthly
Billed on the counts it was built from, printed on every invoice. If a count is wrong you’ll spot it next month, not in two years.

All prices exclude VAT

Still on your own?
Under ten people, none of the above is the cheaper answer.
